1M3 – AREA – Starter of the day (Chin Ups puzzle), homework solutions and then a note on area of a triangle followed by a worksheet on area. HOMEWORK – Jay, Jason, Cory, Lea and Shannon are to complete Ex 3 from the Zeta maths worksheet.

2M4 – DST – Using the Distance/Speed/Time triangle to help remember the formulae and then use them: CfE 3 pg 122 Ex 14G All questions

4M3 – REVISION – Continued revising for the exam.

AH – VECTORS – Read through the last notes on vectors.

25th April 2016: Mr Cooper’s Classes

1M3 – AREA – Went over the homework, completed Week 7 Session 2 of Numeracy Ninjas and then looked at how to calculate the area of a triangle. HOMEWORK FOR TOMORROW – complete Ex 2 from the sheet unless you scored full marks on the homework set for today.

2M4 – DST – Calculating time: CfE 3 pg 122 Ex 14F All questions.

3M1 – VECTORS – Adding and subtracting vectors in component form (2D and 3D):

4M3 – REVISION – Began working through 2015 Paper 2.

AH – VECTORS – Equation of a plane.

1M3 – AREA – Looked at what area is and how to calculate the area of a rectangle. HOMEWORK FOR MONDAY – Complete Ex 1 of the Zeta maths worksheet.

3M1 – VECTORS – Addition and subtraction of 2D vectors.

4M3 – REVISION – Completed the 2015 Paper 1 under exam conditions and continued working through the Case Studies from the textbook.

1M3 – ROUNDING – Starter, homework solutions, Numeracy Ninjas and then rounding to 1 decimal place: CfE 3 pg 12 Ex 1A q. 2. HOMEWORK – Complete Ex 3 from the homework sheet for tomorrow unless you scored better than yesterday or got 13/14.

2M4 – RATIO – Writing ratios: CfE 3 pg 95 Ex 1 All questions

4M3 – REVISION – Finished working through the solutions to Practice Exam 3 and then started working through the calculator questions from Practice Exam 4.

AH – DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS – Worked through Examples 15, 16 & 17 as a class and then the pupils attempted Examples 18 to 22.
