1Q2 – PROBABILITY – Continued discussing the chances of an event happening (impossible, unlikely, even, likely or certain) and then began to experiment with dice and predicting the number of sixes we would get when making sixty rolls.

2M3REVISION – Miss Dunlop took the class through a revision lesson on algebra.

2M3REVISION – Miss Dunlop took the class today, and they were revising angles by recalling angle facts and then working through some questions.

3B5CONSTRUCTION – Completed the K’nex towers’things and then began to calculate the costs involved in building them.

1Q2FORMULAE & SEQUENCES – Began this topic by looking at how to evaluate an expression, and then how to find the formula for a simple sequence: pg 143 Ex 1A q. 4, 6 & 7, pg 144 Ex 1B q. 1, 2, 10, 11 & 12, pg 145 Ex 1C q. 1, 3, 4 & 5.

2M3REVISION – Miss Dunlop took the class today as they worked on fractions (adding, subtracting and multiplying them) and percentages (calculating a percentage of an amount and percentage profit/loss).

4B2REVISION – Worked through the 2009 General Paper 1 and started the 2008 Intermediate 2 Paper 1

3B5PROBLEM SOLVING – Worked collaboratively to use the K’nex pieces to build a tower the height of the classroom.

4B2REVISION – Worked through the question on simultaneous equations form the 2011 Credit Paper 1, and then used the Credit revision booklet to practise.
