1M4 – REVISION – Continued revising for tomorrows test: Revision from Maths in Action 1 Volume: pg 243 q. 3, 4 & 5, Probability: pg 247 q. 1, 2, 4, 5 & 6 and Algebra: pg 232 q. 4 & 9 pg 143 q. 6 & 7.

2M1 – PYTHAGORAS – Recap of the Theorem of Pythagoras with Miss Barrie.

3M3 – REVISION – Went over the homework due for today and then continued revising for the Nat 4 Added Value assessments. HOMEWORK – sheet handed out due for MONDAY 18/5/12.

1M4 – REVISION – Revision from Maths in Action 1 – Equations: pg 237 q. 4, Volume: pg 243 q. 3, 4 & 5 and Probability: pg 247 q. 1, 2, 4, 5 & 6.

2M1 – STATISTICS – Drawing pie charts: MIA 3B pg C3 Ex CS1 All questions

3M3 – REVISION – Continued revising for the Nat 4 Added Value assessments.

1M4 – PROBABILITY – Considered the fairness of a number of games.

2M1 – STATISTICS – Calculating averages from a frequency table with class intervals: MIA 3B pg 96 Ex 2A q. 3 & 4 and pg 97 Ex 2B q. 1 & 2 – all questions to be finished for Monday.

3M3 – REVISION – Practice Added Value Paper 1.

1M4 – PROBABILITY – Went to G3 and worked through the tasks “Probability Introduction” and “Simple Probability” from www.mymaths.co.uk. These tasks are to be completed for next Wednesday.

2M1 – NEGATIVES – Went over the homework sheet and then recapped working with negative numbers: MIA 3B pg 67 Check Up All questions. HOMEWORK – sheet handed out and to be completed for next Wednesday.

1M4 – PROBABILITY – Started the lesson with a short times table test and then collected in the homework due for today. Carried on with the questions set last week on probability from Maths in Action 1E and Maths in Action 1.

2M1 – STANDARD FORM – Went to F9 and worked through three tasks from www.mymaths.co.uk on standard form. Any task not completed is to be done so for Tuesday 12/5/15.

3M3 – REVISION – Went over the solutions to last weeks homework. Worked through 2007 General Paper 2. HOMEWORK FOR TUESDAY 12/5/15 – National 4 Added Value Paper 2 Specimen questions homework sheet.

2M1 – STANDARD FORM – Continued with the exercise started yesterday.

3M3 – LINES – Continued with the exercise from Monday and Tuesday and then completed some assessment questions for the National 4 portfolio.

1M4 – PROBABILITY – Completed our bar graphs showing the results of rolling a die sixty times and then looked at the results for the whole class. Considered what it means for events to be equally likely to happen and then began calculating probabilities: Maths in Action 1E pg 81 Ex 2E All questions. HOMEWORK – sheet on volume handed out and to be completed for Tuesday 5/5/15.

2M1 – STANDARD FORM – Went over last weeks homework sheet and then started to look at writing numbers in standard form. Worked through two lessons from www.mymaths.co.uk and then started Maths in Action 3B pg 5-6 Ex 4 All questions. HOMEWORK – new sheet handed out and to be completed for Wednesday 6/5/15.
