a) General Information

To find the work for a particular class, click on the teacher’s name at the top of the page.

Support

To help pupils, parents and teachers we have created a Numeracy booklet to show the core way that certain methods are taught in class.  It is still in the ‘draft’ stage but a copy can be downloaded here: CfE BoDA NUMERACY booklet v4.1.

In addition to the support offered in the classroom, pupils have the option to come to the “Lunchtime Maths Support Sessions” every Tuesday and Thursday from 1.30pm to 1.55pm in room F9.

The pupils can also access the www.MyMaths.co.uk website at home for personal study (or to play the games).

Most of the classes will have a summary of the work that they covered each day posted on this website.  Parents can check here to see what work should have been completed, what homework was set or to see what is being covered in class.

We also recommend the BBC website (http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/bitesize/ using the “KS3” and “Scottish Standard Grade” sections).

School Closures

In the event of the school being closed due to bad weather (or for any other unscheduled closures) work will be set for the pupils if they have Maths on that day.  It is the responsibility of the pupil to check the school website (www.bridgeofdon.aberdeen.sch.uk) and this website (https://bodmaths.edublogs.org) to see what work has been set.  They will probably be asked to do work from their textbook but could also be asked to complete an online task from www.MyMaths.co.uk.
