1M5: LENGTH – [TJ2a] Page 113, Ex1 – ques. 1 to 7, 9.  Measured our heights and the length and breadth of the classroom.  Discussed perimeter.

2M1: REVISION – Went over the Numeracy Practice test: 2M1 prct NUMERACY test solutions.  Handed back and went over the Expressions & Formulae + Relationships test.

4M4: MONEY – We calculated net monthly income from a gross annual salary of £24000 after looking at income tax rates and national insurance.  We went to www.aspc.co.uk and chose a house to buy with our spouse and investigated the council tax rates.

AH: EUCLIDEAN ALGORITHM – Page 147, Ex5 – ques. 4.

2M1: STATISTICS – Looked at some graphs and charts.  Discussed how to conduct a survey.

4M4: VOLUME – Volume of a Cylinder: Page 82, Ex10B – ques. 1a, 4, 5.

S3:  Revision Exercise.  Simultaneous Equations:  Page 206 – Ques. 2, 4a, 5c, 7.  Factorising:  Page 208 – Ques. 9.  Trigonometry:  Page 205 – Ques. 5, 6, 8, 11.  Mixture:  Page 213, Ex2 – ques. 1, 2a, 6, 8, 9.

S4:  Problem Solving. “Trigonometry” worksheet (green) and “Pythagoras” worksheet (yellow).  Then Leckie & Leckie CfE Maths Problem Solving Skills Pupil Book.  Pages 72 to 75: Stopping Distances – Tasks 1, 2 and 3.  Pages 41 to 43: Revision Planning – Tasks 1, 2 and 3.  Pages 24 to 26: Deliveries – Tasks 1, 2 and 3.
