Using the pattern (e.g. 3, 5, 7, 9 …… pattern = “+2” each time so the next term is 11).

Finding the rule (e.g. e.g. 3, 5, 7, 9 …… pattern = “+2” so it must be something to do with the 2 times table; the first number in the 2 times table is 2 so we need to +1 to make it work; therefore the rule = x2 then +1).
