Work for Mr Willox’s classes on Friday 14th September 2018

Period 1 (4M1):  Hand out the white worksheets and ask them to try the questions (non-calculator).  Pupils can write on the sheets.  They can confer with the others at their table and consult their notes.  Extension:  Hand out green worksheets and ask them to try the questions (calculators allowed).

Period 3 (2M2):  Room F9 is booked for the class to go and complete the two tasks set on www.MyMaths.co.uk.  Extension: They can go on to www.SumDog.com if they have completed both tasks and scored 70% or over in both.

Period 4 (3M5):   Room F9 is booked.  They should go to www.sqasolar.org.uk and click on “OpenAssess”.  Then they should select “Applications of Mathematics – National 3” and “Formative Support: Nat3 Money” from the drop down menus.  Then click on “Create Assessment”.   If they complete this practice assessment then they can go on to www.SumDog.com.

Period 5 (1C1):  We talked about the origins of the divide symbol, simplifying fractions and the “Golden Rule of Fractions”.
