Today we are learning to … calculate gradients.

Gradient = vertical / horizontal

Page 2, Ex1 – ques. 1, 3, 5, 7

Page 6, Ex2B – ques. 2, 4, 5, 8, 9

The first six QUIZ questions for tomorrow will be:

1.  In what year did Albert Einstein die?

2.  What is the equivalent of 360° in radians?

3.  Name the smallest bone in the human body.

4.  What is the capital city of New Zealand?

5.  For what did Richard Feynman win a Nobel prize?

6.  What is greater than God?  The rich need it, the poor have it and if you eat it you will die.

Today we are learning to … draw lines represented by equations.

Revised how to draw a line given an equation of the form y = mx + c, where m is the gradient and c is the y-intercept.

Used the TI-83 calculators to observe properties e.g. lines with equal gradients are parallel.

Today we are learning to…….iterpret distance/time graphs.

We took a note on distance/time graphs.  We looked at interpreting them and using the data to calculate speed.
